I’m on a plane and heading back to San Diego.  My last trip to sunny SD was 7 months ago and was a completely different experience than this one will be.  That trip was all about taking a moment to let the reality of the previous year sink in and to allow myself to just let go.  It was life changing.

Personal Growth

This trip is a different form of personal growth.  I’m heading to Social Media Marketing World 2016.  An event I watched launch, then grow and all the while was wishing I had the resources to attend.  I’ve talked about this a lot, but my company and my entrepreneurial spirit was my way of coping and healing after the death of my son Billy almost 2 years ago.  It’s amazing what can happen when you spend every waking hour working on building your business.  And to be honest, I’m not sure I would have had what it takes to be that dedicated and driven had I not gone through that loss.
I truly believe that every experience we encounter has a purpose in our life and the opportunity to lead us somewhere amazing.
I also know that Billy was able to return to his spiritual form because his life and his death created those amazing experiences for others, including me.  I would most likely not be on this plane right now had things happened any differently.
But I am, and I know he’s right here beside me smiling and beaming with pride over what we’ve accomplished in the past 2 years (and yes I say we, because I’ve know since the moment I was told he was killed that he wasn’t very far away.)

Professional Growth

My company, Think Big Go Local Inc. has grown leaps and bounds over the past couple of years and continues to reach new milestones month after month.  Continued success is the only option, because my growth as a person and an entrepreneur is the gift he left for me.
This trip will arm me with the very best teaching, tools and tips from the very highest achievers and influencers in the social media arena.  I’m beyond excited about the people I will meet and the track sessions I’ll be privileged enough to participate in. But most exciting of all is the value I’ll be bringing back to my company, our social media presence, my personal brand and my clients!  Can’t wait to share it with you all!
